I'm in favour of the gray bg.
But if it was for me I would to a bokeh bg in the colours of the site details, maybe with some noise.

white one, that will look more confusing if you view it in full screen (without cropping) with green background :)

Truly an amazing piece of art, I love it! The green background works best for me, I think it creates this lovely feeling of autumn. I'm very inspired by this design, and now I humbly wonder if you would give me permission to take inspiration from it, to create a sort of design which is used on a website named www.mydreamstable.com?
